Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Program Recruitment and Education Coordinator to join our team in Hernando County. This role is essential in recruiting and determining the income eligibility of qualified homeowner applicants, while also assisting in recruiting volunteers for various company events. Additionally, this position will coordinate and instruct homebuyer education classes for homeowner candidates.
This position requires strong engagement with businesses, schools, community groups, and churches, and is ideal for someone with a passion for community outreach and homeownership education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and conduct pre-application appointments in Hernando County, calculating income eligibility and mortgage affordability.
  • Recruit, qualify, and recommend applicants to the Homeowner Services Committee through the Executive Director.
  • Engage local businesses and community groups to promote support for new home construction and Habitat programs.
  • Recruit volunteers and qualified homeowner applicants from the community.
  • Manage all volunteer and homeownership inquiries, ensuring proper documentation, scheduling, and communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service through timely phone and email responses.
  • Speak at public events and attend company functions to recruit applicants.
  • Work with the Director of Program Education to coordinate and instruct homebuyer education classes in the evenings.
  • Assist community members and applicants with navigating the website, application process, and educational opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to updated Homeowner Services policies and procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds as needed.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, or kneel for extended periods.
  • Routine use of standard office equipment in a community networking environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business information.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
