Plumber's Helper

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Plumbers: Support licensed plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Prepare Work Areas: Clean and organize work sites, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available.
• Handle Tools and Materials: Fetch tools, hold pipes in place, and assist in cutting and fitting pipes as directed by the plumber.
• Perform Basic Repairs: Under supervision, carry out minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucet washers and unclogging drains.
• Dispose of Waste: Properly dispose of debris and waste materials in compliance with local regulations.
• Learn and Apply Skills: Engage in on-the-job training to learn plumbing techniques and safety protocols. 
   

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
• Basic Plumbing Knowledge: Familiarity with plumbing tools and systems is beneficial, though not always required for entry-level positions.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with plumbers and other team members
