Labor Finders is seeking an experienced Dietary Cook for a respected assisted living facility in Macon, GA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious, high-quality meals and understands the important role food plays in the health and well-being of residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Ensure all food is prepared, served, and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Follow portion control and dietary guidelines as directed.
• Assist with food preparation, inventory, and kitchen organization.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment.
• Properly operate kitchen equipment and report maintenance concerns.
• Work efficiently during meal service while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and facility personnel to meet residents' dietary needs.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Qualifications

Required

• Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, healthcare facility, assisted living facility, or similar environment.
• Ability to prepare meals for multiple individuals in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary requirements.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred

• Experience in an assisted living, nursing home, rehabilitation, or healthcare setting.
• Food Handler or ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge of special diets and nutritional meal preparation.
