As our Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), you will serve as the guardian of quality and safety. Your keen eye for detail and technical expertise will ensure that every weld meets exacting standards, protecting the integrity of our projects and maintaining the trust of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded components and completed assemblies to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Review welding procedures, qualifications, and documentation.
• Conduct visual inspections and verify weld quality throughout fabrication and construction processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and project managers to address quality concerns and corrective actions.
• Review and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results.
• Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports and quality records.

Requirements

• Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification or equivalent qualifications.
• Knowledge of welding processes including:
  • SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding)
  • GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding)
  • GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
  • FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding)
• Familiarity with applicable welding codes and standards.
• Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and interpretation of results.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Previous welding inspection experience preferred.
