Certified Flagger

• Setting up safety equipment such as cones and signs, directing vehicles and pedestrians using appropriate hand signals and flags.
• Monitoring traffic flow and communicating with construction crews to relay any necessary information.
• Certified flaggers must possess a flagger certification, be knowledgeable of state and local traffic regulations, and be able to perform their duties in varying weather conditions while maintaining a high level of situational awareness.

• Individuals to complete a training program approved by a recognized authority, which covers topics such as traffic control practices, safety protocols, and the proper use of flagging equipment.
