Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment or systems for our customers. You will need to have excellent customer service skills, as well as the technical ability to diagnose and resolve problems effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment or systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose issues through testing and troubleshooting procedures.
• Provide preventive maintenance services to ensure equipment operates optimally.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Document service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand and address concerns.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle with necessary tools and supplies.
• Provide technical support and training to customers as required.
• Complete service reports and necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
• Perform regular inventory checks to ensure necessary parts and supplies are available.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or certification in a related field preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience as a service technician (or relevant experience).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, as required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Technical certifications relevant to the industry (e.g., HVAC, IT, electronics) may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with [specific tools, software, or equipment relevant to the industry].
• Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical systems, and/or network systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments (indoor, outdoor, etc.).
