Heavy Equipment Operator

Pay: $18-$20 per hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Palm Coast, Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery safely and efficiently while supporting construction, site development, excavation, utility, and earthmoving projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and skid steers.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work.
• Read and interpret project plans, grade stakes, and job specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete maintenance reports.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Work closely with project supervisors and crew members to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Identify and report equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 6 months of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred

• CDL License.
• Experience with GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, etc.).
• Underground utility installation experience.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
