Labor Finders of Austell is looking for an experienced painter. In this role, you will prepare surfaces, mix and apply paint and various finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other areas, ensuring quality and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
- Masking and Taping: They use masking tape and drop cloths to protect areas that shouldn't be painted.
- Cleaning and Repairing: Painters prepare surfaces by cleaning, removing old paint, filling holes and cracks, sanding, and washing walls.
- Protecting Areas: They cover fixtures, furniture, and floors to prevent paint splatters and damage.
- Mixing and Matching Colors: Painters mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the desired color and texture.
- Applying Paint: They apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using various tools like brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
- Wallpaper Hanging: Some painters also hang wallpaper and other decorative products.
- Tools and Equipment: They maintain and clean painting tools and equipment.
- Safety: Painters adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including using proper safety gear and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Collaboration: They may work with other construction professionals like carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.
- Clean Up: They clean up the work area after completing a project, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture.
- Estimating: They may be involved in estimating project costs and calculating the materials needed.
- Quality Control: They ensure the quality of their work by performing inspections and making necessary touch-ups.
Requirements & Skills:
- Proven experience as a painter
- Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply them
- Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
- Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
- Good basic math skills
- Conscientious with great attention to detail
- High school diploma; successful completion of an apprenticeship
