Tire Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Tire Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing tire issues, mounting and balancing tires, performing tire repairs, and providing excellent customer service. You will work with a variety of vehicles, ensuring that all tires meet safety standards and are in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tire Installation & Repair:

   • Mount, balance, and install tires on vehicles including cars, trucks, and other machinery.

   • Inspect tires for wear and tear and recommend replacements when necessary.

   • Repair damaged tires using patching and other methods.

   • Perform tire rotations and alignments as needed.

2. Customer Service:

   • Interact with customers to assess their tire needs and provide recommendations based on the condition of their tires.

   • Answer customer inquiries and provide excellent service throughout the tire installation and repair process.

3. Tire Maintenance:

   • Maintain tire storage areas and manage tire inventory.

   • Ensure proper tire pressure and monitor tread wear.

   • Perform tire balancing to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

4. Safety & Equipment:

   • Follow safety protocols and procedures when handling tires and using equipment.

   • Operate tire-changing machines, balancers, and other tools safely and efficiently.

   • Dispose of damaged tires and other materials in accordance with environmental and regulatory standards.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

   • Maintain accurate records of tire installations, repairs, and maintenance performed.

   • Update inventory and report tire stock levels.

6. Quality Control:

   • Ensure that all tires are installed or repaired to the highest quality standards.

   • Conduct final inspections to guarantee proper tire placement and vehicle safety.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience in tire installation, repair, and balancing is preferred.

• Familiarity with tire-changing equipment and machinery.

• Ability to work with hand tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to lift heavy tires and work in various weather conditions.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
