Land Surveying Project Manager
Responsibilities
· Crew management (hiring, terminations, performance reviews, time off and time & attendance administration, adherence to company policies and procedures)
· Prepare the daily schedule for and assign survey projects to the survey team (field crews and office staff).
· Ensure that the survey team has materials to complete assigned tasks.
· Monitor work progress to ensure it meets or exceeds company standards.
· Review budgets and project timelines with the survey team to ensure projects are completed on time and stay within budget.
· Meet regularly with the Chief Engineer to ensure smooth workflow.
· Prepare submittals and organize plat work with counties/municipalities
· Draft survey plats and review final plats
· Coordinate with the survey crew chiefs to ensure they review plats and as-builts before distribution.
· Compute staking plans for the survey crews.
· Maintain close contact with clients, contractors, and municipality personnel to monitor client and county satisfaction.
· Update and manage company CAD standards for land surveys.
· Maintain professional and ethical behavior at all times.
· Coordinate with the Vice President and RLS to develop a continuing education program for survey staff to keep W&B staff up to date on the latest technology and survey standards.
Experience
· Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
· Experience in managing survey projects and teams
· Proficient with boundary, topographic, ALTA and construction surveys
· Proficiency in surveying software and equipment
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Strong communication and leadership abilities

· AutoCad
· TerraModel
· Civil 3D work in a busy environment
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree in surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred and two years of related experience or eight years of related experience, in lieu of a degree.
License/Certificate (required): Georgia RLS or LSIT capable of obtaining RLS
