Job Requirements Include:
Physical stamina

Experience managing crews, traffic, or job sites
Ability to respond positively to changing scenarios
Practice Safety Rules and Guidelines
Reliability and Dependability
- Traffic control: Using signs, hand signals, and road barriers to guide traffic around construction sites
- Warning drivers: Placing signs like "Road Work Ahead" and "Road Closed" to alert drivers
- Communicating: Keeping other flaggers and construction workers informed about traffic flow and stops
- Supporting emergency personnel: Helping police and medics in crisis situations
- Reporting drivers: Noting license plates of drivers who disobey signs or flagger directions and reporting them to their supervisor
- Removing equipment: Taking down signs, cones, and barriers after the job is complete
