Position
Reporting to Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the Lead Person is responsible for supervising the Pack-out team and overseeing the pack-out process

Reporting to Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the Lead Person is responsible for supervising the Pack-out team and overseeing the pack-out process
Position Responsibilities
- Supervise and work alongside the Pack-Out (tote filling) employees.
- Assure all pack-out employees comply with regulatory requirements as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Assure that all employees assigned to the pack-out area comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Preventive Controls, and all other Food Safety policies.
- Assure that all employees assigned to the pack-out area comply with the Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) policy.
- Operate the filling controls of the Pack-Out scale.
- Assure the correct FSIS tags are used on the correct bags.
- Inspect bags prior to filling for filth and debris, rejecting any potentially contaminated bags.
- Record, document, and report to the Plant Manager any discrepancy to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs), or Preventive Controls.
- Perform routine sanitary functions to maintain Safe Food manufacturing guidelines and in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to keep equipment in standard operating condition.
- In conjunction with QC personnel, assist in testing, recording, and documenting the Pack-Out magnet efficiency.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to lead/supervise a team.
- Previous experience in Pack Out Department is preferred.
